   Liz grew up in Bristol before moving away to university in Birmingham. There she spent 8 years studying maths and physics culminating in a PhD in Astrophysics http://arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0605071, http://arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0406039). Alongside these studies she began to develop acrobatic skills with The University of Birmingham Gymnastics and Trampoline Club, eventually finding herself in a strong position to move into circus. Consequently she was accepted onto the degree program at The Circus Space. There she chose to specialise in Cloud Swing whilst simultaneously making the most of the course to develope as a well rounded and versatile performer. 

   Currently Liz is consolidating her skills on tour with Circus Gerbola in Ireland. The tour has been running since Febuary and continues until the end of October. So far it has proved to be a great oppertunity, Liz is Ring Mistress for the show working alongside Michael Gerbola as Mikey the Clown as well as contributing two acts on cloud swing and trampoline. Although hard work at times working for the Gerbola's is certainly a very enjoyable experience.

   Looking forward Liz is keen to further explore her own circus potential and is also very interested in teaching. In the future she would like to revisit her attempts to fuse circus and science in both abstract artistic and innovative educational capacities. If you would like to see Liz's cv please click here
